History

The french mediterranean coast is often associated with the Côte d'Azur - and for many years, there was no tourism beyond the beautiful Côte d'Azur.

The coast towards the west was discovered for tourism only after 1960, with the main constructions starting in the 1970s.

Le 454 is part of the latest construction project in 1976. It was bought by the former owners based on the construction plans.

Since then, no new buildings were constructed in the area and it still has the ambiance of a 1970/1980 vacation area. The design of the buildings is timeless and reflects a mediterranean style with simple lines which can be found all around the mediterranean coast.

While the area has around 20'000 beds, you don't feel in a crowded place - because buildings were limited to two stories, you always see the sky and never feel entrapped. And as the beach is only a short footwalk away, you can change perspectives quickly.

Agde is however one of the oldest cities in france and was initially founded by the greek under the name Agathé Tyché, 525 b.c..

The Greek phrase Agathé Tyché (Ἀγαθή Τύχη) translates to "Good Fortune" or "Good Luck" in English.
